Baseball Recap: Battle Mountain Find Success

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Battle Mountain and Aspen, and Battle Mountain kept the tradition alive. The Huskies had just enough and edged out the Skiers 6-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-12 on Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Kai Tipton, who went 1-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Cole Lewis was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Battle Mountain now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Aspen, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.
