Basketball Game Preview: Seiling Wildcats vs. Canute Trojans

The Seiling Wildcats will face off against the Canute Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Seiling sitting on four straight victories and Canute on three.

Seiling is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 54-47 win over Red Oak. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Eagles are ranked 98th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Canute posted their closest victory since January 20th on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Cheyenne/Reydon 29-27.

Canute's win bumped their record up to 22-3. As for Seiling, their victory bumped their record up to 25-4.

Everything came up roses for Seiling against Canute in their previous meeting back in January of 2022, as the squad secured a 74-34 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Seiling since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
