Oak Ridge is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Link Academy. The Oak Ridge Pioneers took a 67-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Link Academy Lions. The Pioneers' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Defeat or not, Oak Ridge got some senior leadership from Jalen Reece and CeZanne Mosley. Reece posted 17 points in addition to seven assists and four steals, while Mosley almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Reece is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last eight games he's played. Jamier Jones was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Link Academy had a senior duo take command as Chris Cenac went 6 of 10 en route to 16 points and eight boards and Amare Bynum made all 7 shots he took for 17 points along with five rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Davion Hannah, who earned ten points.

Oak Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Link Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Oak Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 100-94 defeat against Evans on the 20th. Link Academy has also already played their next contest, a 49-47 loss against Brewster Academy National on the 24th.
