Volleyball Recap: Southern School of Energy and Sustainability Falls to Durham School of the Arts in First Game of Season

Southern School of Energy and Sustainability unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs on Wednesday, falling 3-0. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-21, 25-21.

Durham School of the Arts found their leader in sophomore Nasiyah Hayes-Palmer, who had nine digs and three aces.

The win got Durham School of the Arts back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Southern School of Energy and Sustainability will head out on the road to face off against Jordan at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Durham School of the Arts, they will face off against Southern Lee at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
