Baseball Recap: Greater Nanticoke Area Takes a Loss

Greater Nanticoke Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wyoming Seminary College Prep Blue Knights. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Ethan Ball was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Treyton Mishanski, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Greater Nanticoke Area's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Wyoming Seminary College Prep, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Greater Nanticoke Area will challenge Northwest Area at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wyoming Seminary College Prep, they will face off against Bethlehem Catholic at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
