Basketball Game Preview: Phillips Wildcats vs. New Trier Trevians + Official Tickets

Phillips hasn't had much luck against New Trier recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Wildcats will challenge the Trevians at 1:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Phillips saw some tournament action on Thursday. They were outmatched by Loyola Academy and fell 60-23.

Kamaria Sephus put forth a good effort for the losing side as she posted six points.

Meanwhile, New Trier came up short against Fenwick on Thursday and fell 55-48.

New Trier's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Phillips, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Phillips strolled past New Trier in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 by a score of 47-32. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
