Marshall lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Willmar, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's match. The Tigers put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 10-1 win on Monday. Considering the Tigers have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Marshall has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Willmar, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7-1.

Marshall has already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against St. Peter on the 6th. As for Willmar, they will venture away from home to take on Rocori at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Cardinals surely won't give up without a fight.
