Baseball Recap: McCallie Blue Tornado vs. McMinn County Cherokees
While McCallie's win against McMinn County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Blue Tornado narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Cherokees 6-5. The Blue Tornado haven't had any issues with the Cherokees recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
David Stonecipher looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Chandler Jones, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Kelby Barnett was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
