McPherson waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Collegiate Spartans. That's more bragging rights for the Bullpups, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

McPherson had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-18, 25-15.

McPherson's win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Collegiate, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, McPherson and Collegiate will both be playing Wellington the next time they take the court. The Bullpups will head out to face the Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Spartans will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
