Volleyball Recap: North Chicago Triumphs

North Chicago won the last time they faced Round Lake and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Warhawks walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Panthers.

North Chicago easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-14.

Jose Vences paced North Chicago's offense, picking up five kills. Vences got some help from Jonathan Flores and his six assists. Vences also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Justin Ayala, racking up three apiece.

North Chicago's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-23. As for Round Lake, they dropped their record down to 0-27 with the defeat, which was their 24th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, North Chicago will take on Westlake Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Round Lake, they will welcome Antioch at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
