Mother Lode recap September 17, 2013

Linden lost to Escalon 56-12 last week, the largest margin of any game. Colin Jacobs threw for 54 yards and ran for 58 yards in the defeat.

Summerville led Mother Lode in scoring this week by notching 42 points on Summerville.

Jacobs and Jacobs gave Linden a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Teammate Kevin Holtberg added to the ground attack by rushing for 54 yards.

Jacobs and Jacobs gave Mark Miller's team a balanced attack through the air and ground last week.

Jacobs put up the best numbers in passing as the Lions fell to the Cougars. Jacobs' favorite target this week was Bailey Wright, who caught 2 passes for 20 yards.

Mike Seawell was the best wideout in the league this week as Calaveras lost to Modesto Christian. Seawell tallied 3 receptions for 97 yards.

Jacobs was the most successful running back in the league this week.

The Bears' 6-foot-3 quarterback Brice Farrell is the league leader in passing yards this season with 177. The leading receiver in the league this season is Seawell. The Calaveras star has 4 catches for 113 yards.

Amador led Mother Lode in points allowed with 14.
