Basketball Recap: Midd-West Mustangs vs. Line Mountain Eagles
Midd-West unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Line Mountain Eagles on Wednesday, falling 65-44. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Abram Sellers, who posted 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was D'Zani Coley, who scored 16 points and six boards.
Looking ahead, Midd-West will venture away from home to take on Halifax at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Line Mountain, they have already played their next game, a 60-47 defeat against Susquenita on the 8th.
