Football Recap: Davis Sr. Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against River Valley last Friday, Davis Sr. came back down to earth. The Blue Devils took a blow against the Arroyo Dons on Friday, falling 48-6. The Blue Devils were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Jake Saban threw for 146 yards and one TD on only 12 passes.

Robert Mcgehee had an outrageously good game for Arroyo as he picked up 95 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 37 yards and one score. Mcgehee also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing one fumble, making five total tackles, and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception.

Davis Sr. has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Arroyo, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Davis Sr. will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Laguna Creek at 7:15 p.m. on the 17th. As for Arroyo, they will take on Mt. Eden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Dons' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
