            Softball Recap: New Hope Indians vs. Belgreen Bulldogs        
        
		
        
        
            New Hope's tournament run continued when they took on Belgreen  on Saturday. The Indians fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of  9-8.
 Atlanta Copeland put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she  pitched 1.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. That's the first time  she hasn't allowed a single  hit  over her last eight  games. She was even better at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with two  triples, three  runs,  and four  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Calli Tidwell was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Jay Copeland, who  went 2-for-4 with two  doubles and one  run.
New Hope's loss dropped their record down to 16-24-2. As for Belgreen, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won 13 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-12 record  this season.
 New Hope wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  contest,  a  13-7  win against Etowah on the 21st. As for Belgreen, they have also already played their next game,  an  8-0  defeat against Central on the 19th.
