Softball Recap: Tate Gets the Win

While Tate's win against Crestview wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Tate had just enough and edged out Crestview 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Aggies have posted since March 1, 2024.

Kara Wine was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylie Mitchell, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Tate's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8. As for Crestview, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tate will host Niceville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crestview, they will be playing at home against Gulf Breeze at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Crestview's pitchers better be ready for this one: Gulf Breeze has averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
