Lamar has gone 9-1 against Manitou Springs recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Thunder will venture away from home to take on the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Lamar got the win against La Junta by a conclusive 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Thunder.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-20, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Manitou Springs beat Banning Lewis Academy 3-1 on Thursday.

Manitou Springs got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 33-31, 12-25, 25-21, 25-23.

Manitou Springs' win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Lamar, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.

Everything went Lamar's way against Manitou Springs in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Lamar made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Thunder since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
