Baseball Game Preview: Eudora Cardinals vs. Paola Panthers

Eudora is 1-9 against Paola since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Cardinals will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Panthers. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Eudora took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Bonner Springs, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cardinals had just enough and edged out the Braves 5-3. The game was the first time the Cardinals have beaten the Braves on their field since March 30, 2021.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Paola challenged Fort Scott on Thursday. The Panthers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Tigers 3-2. Those three runs were actually the fewest the Panthers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Paola's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Eudora, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
