Baseball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Prairie View's Winning Streak

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Prairie View couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Rocky Mountain Lobos by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. The match marked the Thunderhawks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Jerry Stone spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on three hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Prairie View saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Giovanni Tarin, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
