Softball Recap: West Comes Up Short

West came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Maryville Red Rebels, falling 8-2. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Red Rebels this season, with their most recent loss being a 15-1 defeat back in April.

West saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooke Weaver, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

West's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Maryville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-9.

As of now, neither West nor the Red Rebels have any future games scheduled.
