Softball Recap: Palmetto Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Palmetto's offense. They came up short against the Coral Reef Barracudas on Thursday, falling 15-0. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Barracudas recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Palmetto's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Coral Reef, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Palmetto will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on South Dade on the 29th. As for Coral Reef, they will square off against Bishop Verot at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Barracudas' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
