Recap: La Grange Leopards vs. Yoakum Bulldogs
The La Grange Leopards won the last time they faced the Yoakum Bulldogs, and things went their way on Thursday too. La Grange came out on top against Yoakum by a score of 55-46. The victory made it back-to-back wins for La Grange.
Leading La Grange to victory were Clayton Cooper and Nathan Scott. Cooper dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds, while Scott dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Scott has scored at least 25% of La Grange's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Thai Scott, who scored eight points along with four steals.
La Grange's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Yoakum, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.
La Grange is on the road again on Thursday and play against London at 2:00 p.m. on December 28, 2023. London knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully La Grange likes a good challenge.
