Elk Point-Jefferson gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They breezed past the Parker Pheasants to the tune of 61-19. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Pheasants recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elk Point-Jefferson will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mt. Vernon/Plankinton at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Parker, they will face off against Beresford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
