Volleyball Recap: Chapin Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Zoeh Cereceres and Adrienne Rodriguez

Chapin lost against Montwood on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Huskies fell 3-1 to the Rams. The Huskies' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Despite the defeat, Chapin had strong showings from Adrienne Rodriguez, who had 11 assists and two aces, and Zoeh Cereceres, who had 19 kills and 13 digs. Cereceres has been hot for a while, having posted six or more kills the last 48 times she's played.

Leading Montwood to victory were Isabella Meneses and Alessandra Oropeza. Meneses had 17 digs and three aces, while Oropeza had 18 assists and six digs. That's the most assists Oropeza has posted over her last seven matchups. Mia Mora also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Chapin's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Montwood, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Coming up, Chapin will face off against Eastwood at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Montwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Del Valle at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
