Baseball Game Preview: Jonathan Alder Pioneers vs. Benjamin Logan Raiders

The Jonathan Alder Pioneers will head out to square off against the Benjamin Logan Raiders at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Jonathan Alder has 18 straight wins, Benjamin Logan has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Jonathan Alder can't be too worried about heading out to take on Benjamin Logan: they just beat Kenton Ridge at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Pioneers beat the Cougars on Thursday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 2-1.

Meanwhile, Benjamin Logan didn't have quite enough to beat Indian Lake on Wednesday and fell 2-1.

Benjamin Logan saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cayden Brown, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Benjamin Logan's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Jonathan Alder, they pushed their record up to 18-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Jonathan Alder took their win against Benjamin Logan in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pioneers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
