Volleyball Recap: Farmington Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Farmington can now relate to. They fell just short of the New Britain Golden Hurricanes by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The River Hawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Golden Hurricanes earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Farmington actually scored more points across those five sets (102-99), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 25-21, 19-25, 25-17, 16-14.

Farmington has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-7 record this season. As for New Britain, their win bumped their record up to 13-7.

Farmington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Britain, they will face off against Trumbull at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
