Irvington had lost three straight at home, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 2-7 to make it four. They came up short against the Albertus Magnus Falcons, falling 14-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-4 on Saturday.

As for Albertus Magnus, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. The result was nothing new for Albertus Magnus, who have now won seven contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Albertus Magnus' part, Sean McGuinness was excellent, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, one double, and one RBI. Those four runs gave McGuinness a new career-high. Tyler Wein was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Irvington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Albertus Magnus, they will challenge Pearl River at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
