Basketball Game Preview: Camden County Wildcats vs. Tift County Blue Devils

The Camden County Wildcats will take on the Tift County Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Camden County has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 17.

On Tuesday, Camden County came up short against Richmond Hill and fell 62-52.

Camden County's loss came about despite a quality game from Jaylen Johnson, who went 5 of 8 en route to 14 points and six assists. The dominant performance gave Johnson a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Messiah Colon, who posted seven points and three steals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tift County). Everything went their way against Veterans on Tuesday as Tift County made off with a 63-41 win.

Tift County's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Camden County, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Camden County skirted past Tift County 45-43 when the teams last played back in February of 2022. Will Camden County repeat their success, or does Tift County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
