Cornerstone Christian has gone a perfect 5-0 against San Jacinto Valley Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Crusaders will square off against the Wolves at 10:00 a.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Cornerstone Christian sitting on three straight wins and San Jacinto Valley Academy on four.
On Friday, Cornerstone Christian got the win against Bethel Christian by a conclusive 11-2. Considering the Crusaders have won 11 games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Dylan Kelly and Ben Frazier made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Kelly pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Frazier pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. At bat, Kelly went 2-for-3 with five RBI, one stolen base, and one double, while Frazier scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. Kelly has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Alec O'Sullivan, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, San Jacinto Valley Academy won against Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School last Friday with 18 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Wolves blew past San Jacinto Leadership Academy 18-3.
The team relied heavily on Canon Fletcher, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. San Jacinto Valley Academy is undefeated when Fletcher posts three or more hits, but 3-7 otherwise. Chayce Paine was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
San Jacinto Valley Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .581. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.
San Jacinto Valley Academy pushed their record up to 7-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.8 runs over those games. As for Cornerstone Christian, their record now sits at 12-4.
Saturday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Cornerstone Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .432. However, it's not like San Jacinto Valley Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .439. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
