Soccer Game Preview: Hylton vs. Charles J. Colgan

Hylton hasn't had much luck against Charles J. Colgan recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Bulldogs will challenge the Sharks at 7:00 p.m. Hylton has given up an average of 3.5 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Hylton lost 6-2 to Forest Park on Monday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Hylton were already down 3-0.

Meanwhile, Charles J. Colgan entered their tilt with Potomac Senior on Monday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They never let the Panthers get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. Charles J. Colgan might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by three goals or more this season.

Charles J. Colgan's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four games. As for Hylton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.

Hylton might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Charles J. Colgan when the teams last played back in April. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
