Basketball Recap: Houston Homeschool Athletics Takes a Loss

Houston Homeschool Athletics was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Good Samaritan HomeSchool Hornets, falling 40-5.

Good Samaritan HomeSchool found their leader in sophomore Jemma Spears, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Beck, who posted six points and four steals.

Houston Homeschool Athletics' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Good Samaritan HomeSchool, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Houston Homeschool Athletics does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Good Samaritan HomeSchool, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. Good Samaritan HomeSchool's defense has only allowed 27.7 points per game this season, so Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool's offense will have their work cut out for them.
