Baseball Recap: West Greene Takes a Loss

West Greene lost against Avella back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. West Greene fell just short of Avella by a score of 4-3.

Dylan Hughes made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Jackson Grimes was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one double.

West Greene's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Avella, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

While West Greene had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
