Volleyball Preview: Irene/Wakonda Eagles vs. Canistota Hawks

After both having extra time off, the Irene/Wakonda Eagles and the Canistota Hawks will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Irene/Wakonda has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with four straight losses, while Canistota will come in with three straight wins.

Last Tuesday, Irene/Wakonda came up short against Alcester-Hudson and fell 3-1.

Canistota wouldn't go down easily and took Menno into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 13-25, 16-25, 25-17, 15-8.

Irene/Wakonda's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Canistota, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-15.
