Baseball Preview: De Anza Dons vs. Salesian College Preparatory Pride
For the second straight game, De Anza will face off against Salesian College Preparatory. The Dons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pride at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games De Anza has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
On Wednesday, De Anza didn't have quite enough to beat Salesian College Preparatory and fell 6-5. That's two games in a row now that the Dons have lost by just one run.
For Salesian College Preparatory's part, Evan Vela was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Vela was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
