Baseball Recap: Dunellen Comes Up Short

Dunellen was the 13-3 winner over Piscataway Vo-Tech when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Destroyers fell 9-5 to the Raiders on Wednesday. The Destroyers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dunellen saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Hutchins, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run. Another was Juanluis Rodriguez, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Dunellen now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Piscataway Vo-Tech, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Dunellen wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 6-4 loss against New Brunswick on the 10th. As for Piscataway Vo-Tech, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-3 defeat against East Brunswick Vo-Tech on the 10th.
