Basketball Recap: Laurel Hill Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

If Northview wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Laurel Hill, they should've done a better job of containing Aiyana Dixon. The Laurel Hill Hoboes blew past the Northview Chiefs 82-37 on Friday thanks in part to Dixon, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 17 boards. The match was her 15th in a row with at least ten points.

Hazel Spicer was another key player, putting up 13 points and four steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.3 steals per game.

Northview's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daviona Randolph, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Madison Levins, who earned eight points.

Laurel Hill pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Northview, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

Laurel Hill has already played their next game, a 65-41 loss against Crestview on the 27th. As for Northview, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 68-34 defeat against T.R. Miller on the 27th.
