Baseball Recap: American Leadership Academy Comes Up Short

American Leadership Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 12-2 to the Ninety Six Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 last Tuesday.

Brice Cook made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

American Leadership Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Ninety Six, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. American Leadership Academy will square off against Northside Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Crusaders have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Ninety Six, they will face off against Dixie at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
