Scottsboro blew Brewer out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Brewer got their revenge. The Wildcats fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 34-31. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Guntersville put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Grissom 34-16. The Wildcats pushed the score to 24-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers cut but never quite recovered from.

Scottsboro's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-3. As for Guntersville, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.
