Basketball Recap: Selma Makes It 17 in a Row at Home

Selma extended their winning streak to eight games thanks to a huge performance from Tristin Blocton. The Selma Saints came out on top in a nail-biter against the Southside Panthers on Friday, sneaking past 50-48 thanks in part to Blocton, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Those ten boards gave him a new career-high.

Selma pushed their record up to 15-1 with the win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Southside, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.

Selma didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-33 victory against Marion on the 18th. As for Southside, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Southside Panthers take on the Thomasville Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
