Basketball Recap: Greeley County Comes Up Short

After flying high against St. Francis on Saturday, Greeley County came back down to earth. The Jackrabbits fell 52-48 to the Wichita County Indians on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Jackrabbits in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost six in a row.

Greeley County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Wichita County, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Greeley County will head out to square off against Decatur Community on Friday. As for Wichita County, they will venture away from home to face off against South Gray at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
