Softball Recap: Assumption Extends Winning Streak to Four

Assumption not only won on Sunday, but they posted their biggest win since March 19th. Everything went their way against the Springfield Blue Devils as Assumption made off with a 13-7 win. Winning may never get old, but the Rockets sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Maleya Giddens was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Jaelynn Oaks also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Assumption's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Springfield, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, Assumption will take on Lewis County at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Springfield, they will face off against Ballard at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
