The Memphis School of Excellence Winchester Eagles blew past the Sheffield Knights 68-11. That looming 68-11 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.

Leading Memphis School of Excellence Winchester to victory were Tatianna Woods and Ahmiya Thompson. Woods went 9 of 14 on her way to 24 points along with seven steals and five assists, while Thompson dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 boards. The contest was Thompson's tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shaniyah Matlock, who posted 11 points and four steals.

Despite the loss, Sheffield saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Deonna Allen put up seven points. Allen is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

The victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.8 points per game. As for Sheffield, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Memphis School of Excellence Winchester will venture away from home to take on Power Center Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Memphis School of Excellence Winchester's defense has only allowed 29.8 points per game this season, so Power Center Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Sheffield, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 46-24 win against City University School of Liberal Arts on the 10th.
