Soccer Recap: Maryville Takes a Loss

Maryville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Bearden Bulldogs, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Maryville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 44th, while Bearden are ranked third).

Maryville's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Bearden, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-1-1.

Coming up, Maryville will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Knoxville Catholic at 7:00 p.m. As for Bearden, they will head out to challenge Baylor at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
