Recap: Troy Trojans vs. Covington Buccs
The Troy Trojans were the 55-42 winner over the Covington Buccs when they last played one another back in February of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. Troy fell 51-39 to Covington on Monday. Troy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Trojans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kiyah Baker, who scored 9 points. Another player making a difference was Jadyn Almeida, who scored 5 points.
Troy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Covington, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Troy will take on Piqua at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Covington, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Jackson Center at 6:00 p.m.
