Softball Recap: Upper Lake Cougars vs. Fort Bragg Timberwolves        
        
		
            
 Upper Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss. They fell  10-5 to the Fort Bragg Timberwolves. Upper Lake was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Fort Bragg apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in April.
  Keira McCormack was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring a  run while going 1-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Ruby Wurm, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
 On Fort Bragg's side,  Andrea Escobedo made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out seven batters over  seven innings while giving up  four earned  (and one unearned) runs off   nine  hits. Escobedo was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with a  stolen base and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Nikki Namvar was  incredible,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances. She is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games she's  played.  Mackenzie Rose was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
 Upper Lake's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Fort Bragg, the  win was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-8.
 Upper Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fort Bragg, they will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against Cloverdale at 4:00  p.m. Cloverdale's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9  runs per game  this season, so Fort Bragg's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
