Baseball Recap: Trumann Comes Up Short at Home Against Piggott

Trumann unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Piggott Mohawks on Monday, falling 16-5. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Trumann saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Asher Box, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. Another was Jace Bennett, who scored a run and stole Three bases.

Trumann will be playing at home against Westside at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Piggott, they are taking a road trip to square off against Osceola at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
