The Columbus Christian Crusaders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. Their tough 65-45 defeat to Horizon Christian might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Columbus Christian in their matchups with the : they've now lost six in a row.
Defeat or not, Columbus Christian got some senior leadership from Josh Conrad and Peyton Walden. Conrad scored 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Walden. scored 13 points along with six rebounds. Conrad is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Johnson, who scored two points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Columbus Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Horizon Christian, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-4.
