Soccer Game Preview: Pilot Point vs. Celina

Pilot Point is 0-4 against Celina since February of 2024 but things could change on Tuesday. The Bearcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Bobcats at 7:15 p.m. Pilot Point has given up an average of 2.9 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Pilot Point fell victim to Richland and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Raiders, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Pilot Point can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 737th, while Richland are ranked 117th).

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Celina was a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They fell just short of Richland by a score of 2-1.

Celina's goal came courtesy of Mason Bain, which was the first he's scored this season.

Pilot Point's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Celina, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6-2.

Pilot Point suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Celina in their previous matchup back in March of 2025. Can the Bearcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
