Soccer Recap: Conestoga Takes a Loss

Conestoga was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Standing Bear Grizzlies.

Conestoga's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Standing Bear, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-12.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Conestoga is set to face off against their familiar foe Nebraska City at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Standing Bear will challenge rival Norris at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. This will be Standing Bear's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
