Baseball Recap: Nordhoff Comes Up Short

After flying high against Ojai Valley last Saturday, Nordhoff came back down to earth. The Nordhoff Rangers lost 9-0 to the Santa Ynez Pirates on Tuesday. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Rangers were not able to get on the board.

Nordhoff saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andres Perez, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Nordhoff now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Santa Ynez, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.

Coming up, Nordhoff will take on Bishop Diego at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Nordhoff is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Santa Ynez, they will square off against Cabrillo at 3:30 p.m. on March 11th.
