Baseball Game Preview: Palacios Sharks vs. Columbus Cardinals

Palacios is 0-9 against Columbus since March of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Palacios Sharks will challenge the Columbus Cardinals at 7:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Palacios came up short against Columbus and fell 14-9.

James Trammell was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Eric Garcia was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Columbus and bumps their season record up to 6-8. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Palacios, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 11-5.
